This section is under construction. See the Practical Guide to Connecting for connection examples.
When CBOLD automatically assigns a connection name, it begins that name with "SB__" (SB double underscore).
The user should avoid net names containing two consecutive underscores.
Global connections begin with the forward slash character, e.g., "/MY_GLOBAL_NET".
The Style Guide suggests using only capital letters A-Z, 0-9, and the underscore character in net names, but this restriction is only a suggestion intended to avoid conflicts with some CAD programs.
In general, the designer should attempt to assign a meaningful name to every net. Doing otherwise is legal but it may ultimately lead to confusion. Furthermore, checking that a design contains no automatically assigned net names is a good way to avoid unintended incomplete connections.
