Notes for compiling the CBOLD framework with gcc:

1. If you have an older distribution of gcc, you may need to uncomment this line in cb_user_pref.h: 
//#define   ios_base ios    // needed for older versions of gcc
2. You may need to modify the following line in skeleton/Makefile to work with your gcc installation: 
cc -lstdc++ -o skeleton $(objects) $(cbold_objects);
